Well we have a small slate this Wednesday but I still see some spots I am digging and want to dive into them right now. The Minnesota Wild (34-27-8) are heading to the West Coast for a battle with the Los Angeles Kings (35-22-11) at the Crypto.com Arena in what should be a really great late night game on TNT.

Minnesota Wild vs. Los Angeles Kings Prediction
Kirill Kaprizov and Minny ride a four game win streak into this one and another win can very realistically put them back into the playoff conversation. On the flip side, Los Angeles has been incredibly inconsistent but they are coming off a 6-2 win over Chicago and have won three of their last five. Both squads are on the back-to-back here.
I think the wrong team is favored here. Don't get me wrong - The Kings are a very talented team, honestly one that I believe has underperformed for much of the year in regard to the talent they have. With that said, they are in a playoff position so maybe I am being overly judgmental. I love the way Minny is playing and if I back a side here I am going with the wild but at the end of the day, I think I like the total here most.
The line is low because there are major playoff implications for the Wild and they have played strong defensive hockey as of late but they are playing on the back end better than things suggest. Even if it comes down to the empty netter, we should get there. Three of the last five meetings between these squads have seen 9+ goals and Minny wants vengeance from the recent 7-3 loss.
