Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Anaheim Ducks Prediction: Can Steven Stamkos, Lightning Take Care of Business?

We have a lovely NHL slate today on a Sunday to compliment the March Madness and I am loving some of these matchups. A lot of teams are on a back-to-back here today and while sometime that is a fade for me, I actually am riding the squad on the back-to-back here today. The Tampa Bay Lightning (38-25-7) are continuing their west coast road trip tonight as they clash with the Anaheim Ducks (24-43-3) at the Honda Center and I think the Bolts bounce back tonight.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Anaheim Ducks Prediction

Tampa Bay didn't get things going until late last night in Los Angeles and while the 3rd period push allowed them to secure a point, the Kings ended things early in overtime. Tonight, they get to clash with an Anaheim squad they hold four straight wins over and have outscored 19-7 in those games with a minimum of four goals in every outing.

Greg Cronin will be between the pipes for Anaheim in place of John Gibson tonight - he is 0-4 with a 5.8 GAA this month and the Bolts are not the team you want to have to try to right the ship against.

Steven Stamkos and the Bolts are in a solid spot for the playoffs right now but nowhere near able to take things lightly. They are firmly holding on to a wild card spot but teams chasing are just five points behind so a couple bad games for them could really cause some trouble; I do not expect that to happen but that means you have to take care of business here against inferior opponents.
