We split on the dogs last night, really thought we were going to get both after St. Louis forced overtime, but hey that's hockey. Tonight, we have a loaded slate and with right around three weeks left in the regular season; some games are really going to start feeling like we are already in the playoffs like we saw last night between St. Louis and Vegas. To kick off our night, we are heading to the Winnipeg as the Edmonton Oilers (42-23-4) visit the Winnipeg Jets (44-22-5) for a clash at the Canada Life Centre in a battle between two squads from the Great White North.

Edmonton Oilers vs. Winnipeg Jets Prediction
The Oilers are in but still jockeying for playoff position, and having dropped back-to-back games to two of the other Canadian squads in the league, I expect them to show up for a tough test on the road here tonight. Edmonton took the last meeting between these two squads in Winnipeg back in November, but the Jets had taken four straight prior to that, so the Oilers are very much still looking to even out the ledger here.
Winnipeg is also looking to bounce back after ending their road trip with three straight losses, but they played much differently. Edmonton is 2-2 across their last four, scoring 17 goals in those four games with a minimum of three. Winnipeg has scored just four total in their last three, and eight total in their last four. It's hard to get things going against a team with so much talent and pace, and Edmonton has arguably the best handful of that in the NHL. I like Edmonton in this spot and at this line.
