Not a crazy slate on the ice here tonight but I do have one spot that I want to attack, should be the best game on the board tonight. The Colorado Avalanche (48-22-6) are heading back up north for their second clash with the Edmonton Oilers (45-24-5) in Alberta, Canada at the Rogers Place this season and I expect a spectacular game.

I like Edmonton with Colorado on the back-to-back here but I am not going with a side here - I am trusting what we know this game has potential for plenty of and that would be goals.
Colorado is 7-2-1 in their last ten and I don't see them stopping, they are still in a race for the one seed in the central division. They Avalanche are leading the league with 3.68 GPG and have taken four of the last five ged to head. The lone meeting so far this season was a 3-2 win for the Avalanche up in Alberta. They have a lot of confidence right now, even with the back-to-back factor.
On the flip side, this is a major bounce back spot for the Oilers. Connor McDavid and Edmonton rank fifth best in the league with 3.54 GPG but that average is down as a result of the embarrassing 5-0 loss at Dallas they suffered on Wednesday night. Now clashing with one of the only other teams in the West that is really in their way, they know it is gut check time. You have to compete with and beat teams of this caliber, it is that simple.
There were so many chances last game and they couldn't convert yet they still found five goals. If they score 2-3 in the first 30 minutes of this game, this one will see fireworks.
