I mean what a glorious slate we have today. Between early action on the diamond and ice, and the semifinal games for the Men's 2024 NCAA tournament, we have incredible games all day long. So many great matchups to choose from, and I will likely be dropping more plays on my twitter, but for now I want to head to the ice for our last article play of the day. The Nashville Predators (44-28-4) are heading to the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York for a clash with the Islanders (34-27-15) in what should be a great inter-league affair.

Nashville Predators vs. New York Islanders Prediction
There are more exciting matchups on the board for sure, but this is strictly a line play for me here. We rarely get that lovely line of 5.5 on the total with teams that can score, and when we do, I am tempted to bite. I can see the low total, both teams can be beyond stingy defensively and have spectacular netminders, but there are major playoff implications for both squads here. Nashville is barely in sixth, a regulation loss could drop them to eighth in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Islanders are fighting with the Caps, Flyers and Pens for the last two spots in the Eastern Conference.
Nashville has been scoring like crazy lately, and if that offensive production continues, the Islanders will have to respond. Luckily for them, I think they have the more talented group of forwards and they undoubtedly have the firepower. We just need 2-3 goals in that first 30 minutes of the game to give us plenty of ways to find this one going over.
