Well this may be the last time I say this for a handful of months so here it is, tonight we are heading to the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri as the Blues (42-32-5) host the Carolina Hurricanes (50-22-7) in a must-win game for the Notes.

Normally I would be done backing a team in this spot at this point in the season, but with one last chance to see the light in the playoffs this season, I will go to the Notes one more time. After a dominating win over the Hawks on Wednesday and Vegas getting pummeled by the Edmonton Oilers, the Blues are just once again three points out of the final wild card spot. The chances are slim (and had they have taken more than one out of six points this season against the San Jose Sharks of all teams, they wouldn't be in this position, but I digress) but they do have a chance now. Only thing is they have to be flawless and hope Vegas stumbles. A lot of hope, hope, hope but they can control one thing: you have to do everything in your power to win these final three games and put some pressure on Vegas.
St. Louis has won the lone meeting between these two squads thus far this season, and in no way, shape or form will it be easy, but with the forwards playing the way they are right now and Jordan Binnington between the pipes, hope persists. Binner is quite literally the only reason this team is still in contention; many nights the Blues have won or at least escaped with a point because of his stellar 2.88 GAA and save percentage north of .910. On home ice, we can expect him to be dialed in. I will trust the boys one more time and back them at a good price.
