Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Boston Bruins Prediction
Boston was not flashy down the stretch, but a team built for playoff success showed their dominance routing the Leafs by four in the first game of this series. Toronto is on the verge of playoff woes once again and need to right the ship tonight. I think we are very lucky to be getting this line at 5.5 again and I am going to bite. Boston kept Toronto quiet en route to their dominant 5-1 victory in the series opener and now I expect Toronto to press.
Boston has dominated the series now with six straight victories over Toronto, and while the first round jinx no longer exists for the Leafs, they are already treading dangerous waters of another first round exit. Boston was outright embarrassed in the playoffs last year with their first round exit, and they seem like they are out for blood now. If I'm Toronto, I am throwing the kitchen sink at them tonight to avoid going down 2-0 in the series. I expect them to pull out all the stops and push the offensive pace just as hard, if not harder this game. That sets up a recipe for goals.
