4 Minute ReadGolden Knights vs. Ducks Prediction: Can Ducks Gain Control of Series After Stealing Game 2 in Vegas?
The Golden Knights finally delivered the kind of performance expected from a more proven playoff team in Game 3, jumping Anaheim early and rolling to a 6-2 win at Honda Center. Mitch Marner produced his first career playoff hat trick and four total points, while Vegas built a 5-0 lead through two periods and moved ahead 2-1 in the Western Conference semifinal series.
Game 4 is set for Sunday, May 10, at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, with both sides sitting around even money. Anaheim had opened the series with the stronger territorial profile, nearly stealing both games in Vegas before settling for a split, and the Ducks still enter this spot with a strong buy signal in the market: 43% of bets but 68% of the money on Anaheim suggests sharper action backing the home side to respond.

Golden Knights vs. Ducks Prediction Game 4
The Game 3 scoreline was ugly, but it does not completely erase what Anaheim showed through the first two games. The Ducks outshot Vegas 34-22 in Game 1, then controlled enough of Game 2 to win 3-1 behind Lukas Dostal and a tighter defensive effort. The Game 3 collapse was more about a disastrous start, poor goaltending sequence, and Vegas finally converting than a total reversal of the series. Anaheim has still generated enough possession and shot volume to justify confidence if it cleans up the first 10 minutes.
Vegas deserves credit for punching back. Marner’s breakout game changed the tone of the series, Shea Theodore and Brayden McNabb gave the Golden Knights early separation, and Carter Hart made 31 saves to protect the lead. Still, the Knights are not coming into Game 4 at full strength. Mark Stone is out with a lower-body injury after leaving Game 3, removing a captain, top-six forward, and two-way stabilizer who already had seven playoff points.
The Ducks’ bounce-back case is built on chemistry and pressure. Vegas may still have the more established roster, but Anaheim has looked faster and more connected for most of the series outside of the Game 3 first-period avalanche. The Ducks need Dostal to settle back in after being pulled, and they need their attack to turn shot volume into earlier goals. If they avoid chasing the game from the opening minutes, the matchup looks much closer than the 6-2 result suggested.

Anaheim has already shown it can control possession and outshoot Vegas, and the betting split points to heavier money backing the Ducks to even the series at home. The Golden Knights’ Game 3 response was real, but Stone’s absence matters, and Anaheim’s overall series profile still supports a rebound. At even money, the Ducks are worth riding again to dig in, win Game 4, and send this series back to Vegas tied 2-2.
