Wednesday Racing Picks: Gulfstream Park
Race 1 - PICK: First In Line
- In a race full of exposed types, it could pay to side with the once-raced First In Line who is taken to improve on his debut effort at the track in February. The selection showed glimpses of promise first time out and this race certainly won't take much winning
Race 2 - PICK: Garner State Park
- Those with experience don't set a high standard here so take your chances on Todd Pletcher's $65,000 newcomer. This half sister to Maggie True is likely to know her job on debut and doesn't need to be a superstar to come out on top
Race 3 - PICK: No Se Vende
- Take on the top of the market and go with the value on this Miguel Vasquez mount. The selection ran well last time out over 5f and despite not yet winning over 6f, today's step up in trip looks well worth a go and she can surprise the top two
Race 4 - PICK: Don't Tase Me Bro
- It's time to forgive and forget. Don't Tase Me Bro ran an encouraging race on debut last year and if you can forgive a poor run last time here he's still the one to beat. That run was in a better race than today's and he's been given a couple of months off to recover. Back this colt to bounce back
Race 5 - PICK: Simple Story
- Simple Story ran a huge race on debut at Churchill Downs in November when just narrowly beaten by Raggedy Annie and a repeat of that effort should be enough to come out on top here
Race 6 - PICK: Flat Awesome Jenny
- Jenny has lived up to her name recently and been awesome in winning her last three races. She won in great style last time with a comfortable success over course and distance and she can extend her winning sequence to four
Race 7 - PICK: Keepsakekitten
- This favorite looks one to be with in race seven and it's time to back Luis Saez to steer this colt home today. Keepsakekitten gamely held off Pretendant in a close finish last time at Tampa Bay Downs last time and he looks a really progressive three-year-old
Race 8 - PICK: Quijote
- This race looks prime for an upset and it could be worth chancing Quijote from the Georgina Baxter barn. The selection is making his seasonal debut today but rarely runs a bad race and is bound to be bang there at the finish
Race 9 - PICK: Blewitt
- We're backing Todd Pletcher to have a good day today and that includes Blewitt who is selected to beat the favorite in race nine. It's certainly not a race that will be remembered and Blewitt has back-form that if he reproduces should be enough to come out on top
Race 10 - PICK: Mandate
- Mandate wouldn't be a leading light in Todd Pletcher's powerful yard, but he won't need to be to win this weak contest. The unexposed three-year-old has the hallmarks of a potential improver for this season and can get off the mark for the first time today
