Monday Racing Picks: Delaware Park

What better way to start the week than a nine-race card at Delaware Park to get stuck in to? We’ve got picks and predictions for every race at the meeting.

Not the most inspiring of races to kick off today’s card at Delaware, but it does look like the best opportunity Gambit has ever had to win a race and this consistent five-year-old can finally get off the mark

Race 2 – PICK: JOHN’S PROMISE (4/1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG

We’re taking a chance here on John’s Promise, who certainly didn’t run well last time out. However, you don’t have to look too far back into his form to give him a chance in this. His seasonal comeback was a race full of promise and the step back to five furlongs today should suit this previous four-furlong winner

Race 3 – PICK: MUCHACHO MACHO (2/1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG

There’s not much form to go on in race three, but the horse that sets the standard is without doubt Muchacho Macho who was third here in June and should step up on that performance today

Race 4 – PICK: POOL WINNER (4/1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG

A tough race to analyze with two of the main contenders making their seasonal reappearances. We’re siding with Pool Winner who ran in a much better race than this at Belmont last time and will appreciate the drop in class

Race 5 – PICK: ALDO’S KITTEN (2/1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG

Aldo’s Kitten went off 6/5 favorite on his racecourse debut so obviously had been showing a lot in his homework. It’s a slight concern he’s been off the track for so long, but he’s open to more improvement than most and can get back on track today

Race 6 – PICK: THE STIFLER (4/1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG

The Stifler has been in great form this season and can land the hat-trick today with conditions to suit

Race 7 – PICK: NILEATOR (3/1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG

It’s been foolish taking on Fine Spirit in recent starts, but he only just scrambled home last time out and we think the winning run may come to an end today. Instead, we’re backing Nileator who’s coming to the boil nicely this season and likes the track

Race 8 – PICK: GRUMPS LITTLE TOTS (3/1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG

Jason Servis did a great job with Grumps Little Tots who’s been a good servant and you can expect Rob Atras to continue in the same form with the four-year-old. He was really brave to win by a neck last time out and can build on that success today
