NYCFC vs. Chicago Fire Prediction, Best Bet, Latest MLS Odds for Saturday, July 25th
Robert Lewandowski searches for his first MLS goal when Chicago Fire visit NYCFC in one of Saturday night’s strongest Eastern Conference matchups. Chicago’s new striker was held scoreless in his debut, but the +125 anytime market offers an attractive price for another opportunity inside Yankee Stadium’s compact dimensions.

NYCFC vs. Chicago Fire Prediction
Lewandowski started immediately in Miami after training with Chicago for only seven or eight days. The 37-year-old played 63 minutes without scoring, finishing with limited involvement as the Fire struggled to consistently deliver the ball into dangerous areas. He should be better prepared after another match and several additional training sessions with his new teammates.
NYCFC remains dangerous through Nicolás Fernández Mercau and Agustín Ojeda, who both scored in the victory over Columbus. Fernández Mercau has produced 11 goals and four assists through 16 league matches, but New York enters this matchup without several regular contributors, including Alonso Martínez, Maxi Moralez, Keaton Parks, Raul Gustavo and Kai Trewin.
Chicago has historically struggled at Yankee Stadium and remains without a victory at the venue. However, the Fire enter with the stronger record and a more dangerous attacking ceiling following Lewandowski’s arrival. His movement should occupy NYCFC’s depleted defensive group and create space for Maren Haile-Selassie, Philip Zinckernagel and Puso Dithejane around him.

Lewandowski did not receive enough service in his debut, but Chicago should place greater emphasis on involving its record signing Saturday. The compact field can bring him closer to goal, while NYCFC’s absences create an opportunity for the Polish striker to attack crosses, rebounds and short combinations inside the penalty area. At +125, backing his first MLS goal provides more value than choosing a side in a closely matched contest.
