Real Salt Lake hosts Tigres in the opening phase of the 2026 Leagues Cup on Tuesday night, with coverage available on FS1 and Apple TV. RSL is the slight +140 favorite, Tigres is priced at +160 and the draw is available at +250. The total is set at 2.5 goals, with the over carrying a -150 price.
RSL enters fifth in the Western Conference at 8-6-3, while Tigres has endured an unexpectedly poor 0-2-1 start in Liga MX. The standings favor the MLS side, but both attacks possess enough individual quality to create a more open match than the clubs’ previous low-scoring meetings suggest.

Tigres UANL vs. Real Salt Lake Prediction
Real Salt Lake returned from its World Cup break with road losses against LAFC and Portland before earning a 1-1 draw at St. Louis. Sergi Solans scored his team-leading seventh goal in that match, while Saba Lobjanidze supplied his second assist in only three appearances. RSL has been far stronger in Utah, posting an 8-1-0 record across all competitions while outscoring visitors 22-9.
Tigres has yet to win its new league campaign, but its matches have featured constant scoring opportunities. The Mexican side lost 3-1 to Tijuana, drew Atlético de San Luis 2-2 and fell 3-2 against Querétaro. Juan Brunetta, Fernando Gorriarán and Rodrigo Aguirre provide established attacking talent, while defensive instability has resulted in eight goals conceded across three matches.
RSL can attack through Solans, Diego Luna and potentially Zavier Gozo, who has six goals and five assists despite recently dealing with a hip injury. Gozo’s possible return would add another direct runner against a Tigres back line that has struggled with transition defense. Tigres can respond through Brunetta’s creativity and Aguirre’s movement, creating a matchup in which both teams should generate sustained pressure.
The historical meetings have been controlled, with Tigres winning 2-0 and 1-0 around a 1-1 draw, but those results came between 2016 and 2019. The current versions of these teams are operating in very different conditions. RSL has scored consistently at home, while every Tigres league match this season has produced at least four total goals.

The -150 price is expensive, but it reflects the clear potential for a 2-1 or 2-2 result. RSL’s home strength should force Tigres to attack rather than settle for a cautious road performance, and the visitors have shown they can score even while struggling defensively. Three goals remain the most likely threshold in a matchup featuring two capable attacks and vulnerable recent defensive form.
