Chicago Fire vs. Santos Laguna Prediction
Lewandowski has wasted little time establishing himself as Chicago's new centerpiece. After making his MLS debut against Inter Miami, the Polish striker scored both goals in a 2-1 victory over Charlotte in his first home appearance, giving him his first two MLS goals. He then started against Necaxa and played 64 minutes, recording five shots without finding the net. The opportunities were there even in a match where Chicago's two goals instead came through fullbacks Jonathan Dean and Andrew Gutman.
Santos' 2-0 loss against NYCFC was not completely devoid of attacking threat, but the final result continued a troubling stretch. Santos forced Matt Freese into six saves and generated several dangerous opportunities, yet it could not finish any of them before allowing two second-half goals. The Mexican side has now won only once across its past five matches, and its defensive problems become particularly concerning against a Chicago attack that has consistently found the net.
This is the first competitive meeting between Chicago and Santos, but the current form strongly favors the MLS side. Chicago's midfield and wide players have provided enough service that Lewandowski does not need to manufacture his own opportunities, while Philip Zinckernagel has already developed chemistry with the veteran striker. Santos can make the game competitive if Lucas Di Yorio and Diego González convert the chances they failed to finish against NYCFC, but another aggressive approach should also provide Lewandowski with space around the penalty area.
The individual markets make the same-game parlay particularly appealing. Chicago is already -185 to win and Lewandowski is -145 to score, but combining the two moves the return to +110. The outcomes are naturally correlated because Lewandowski has immediately become the focal point of Chicago's attack. If the Fire justify their status as a substantial favorite and score multiple goals, their new star striker has a strong chance of being directly responsible for at least one.

- Best Bet: Chicago Fire Moneyline x Robert Lewandowski Anytime Goalscorer (+110) Check out the best odds on DraftKings Sportsbook
Lewandowski going scoreless against Necaxa should not discourage the goalscorer angle after he still generated five attempts in just over an hour. Santos has conceded in six consecutive matches, Chicago has scored in 17 straight and the Fire should control long stretches at home against a team already under pressure after losing its opener. Rather than laying -185 on Chicago alone or -145 on Lewandowski alone, the correlated +110 combination provides the stronger return.
