Tommy Paul vs. Kamil Majchrzak Prediction
That strong level continued into Wimbledon. Paul opened with a dominant 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 victory over Alexandre Muller and followed it with a 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-2 win against Soonwoo Kwon. His run ended against Hubert Hurkacz in the third round, but the 4-6, 7-6(5), 7-5, 6-2 defeat came against an opponent whose serve and first-strike power are much more dangerous than anything Majchrzak brings into this matchup.
Majchrzak has produced the best tennis of his career this season and cannot be dismissed completely. The Pole captured his first ATP title at ’s-Hertogenbosch by defeating three top-10 opponents, including a 7-6(4), 6-1 win over Daniil Medvedev and a 6-3, 2-6, 7-6(5) victory over Alex de Minaur in the final. However, that breakthrough came on grass, and he was unable to maintain the same level at Wimbledon after beating Alejandro Tabilo 6-3, 7-5, 7-5, losing to Svajda 2-6, 6-2, 7-6(5), 4-6, 3-6 in the second round.
The historical matchup does not carry much weight. Paul and Majchrzak split two meetings during the 2019 Challenger season, but both players have moved in very different directions since then. Paul has developed into a consistent ATP contender with the movement, return quality and baseline pace to control this matchup, while Majchrzak has spent much more of his career competing below the main-tour level.
Paul should be able to pressure Majchrzak’s second serve and take control of rallies with his forehand. His compact movement is particularly effective on outdoor hard courts, where he can defend the corners before quickly changing direction and turning neutral exchanges into attacking opportunities. Majchrzak’s recent grass success makes the -320 moneyline difficult to justify, but it does not change the gap between the players over a full hard-court match.

The straight-sets market offers a much cleaner betting route. Paul has already shown that he can start tournaments quickly, and his Wimbledon victories over Muller and Kwon were both completed without requiring a fourth set. Majchrzak may stay competitive behind his first serve, but Paul’s return pressure and superior consistency should eventually create breaks in both sets.
