Fritz meets Jodar in the ATP Washington championship after Sunday’s scheduled final was postponed because of weather. The match will be shown on Tennis Channel, with Fritz moving from an opening price of -160 to a larger -185 favorite as support continues to arrive behind the top American.
Washington’s title match features an established elite hard-court player against one of the fastest-rising prospects on tour. Jodar has eliminated several experienced opponents during a remarkable week, but Fritz’s serving level, recent consistency and previous success in this matchup give him the stronger path to control the match from the opening set.

Rafael Jodar vs. Taylor Fritz Prediction
Fritz began the tournament with consecutive 6-3, 6-4 victories over Zizou Bergs and Kamil Majchrzak. He then survived his most difficult test against Alex Michelsen, recovering from a second-set dip to win 6-1, 3-6, 7-6(6). Fritz followed with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 semifinal victory over Brandon Nakashima, once again using his serve and first-strike forehand to regain control after losing the middle set. His ability to respond immediately after momentum shifts has been one of the strongest features of this run.
Jodar opened with a 7-6(5), 6-3 upset of Arthur Fils before dismissing Kei Nishikori 6-3, 6-2. The 19-year-old then recovered from a disastrous opening set to beat Lorenzo Musetti 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 and produced another comeback against Alejandro Tabilo, winning 6-7(6), 6-4, 6-4. His speed, defensive range and willingness to attack short balls have allowed him to punish every opponent that has relaxed or become careless.
Fritz leads the head-to-head 1-0 after defeating Jodar 7-6(4), 6-4 on the Delray Beach hard courts in February. Jodar remained competitive throughout that meeting, but Fritz protected his serve in the decisive moments and prevented the young Spaniard from consistently controlling rallies.
