Terence Atmane vs. Jakub Mensik Prediction

Atmane opened by defeating Jack Draper 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 before knocking out Karen Khachanov 6-4, 7-6(3). Those victories followed a Washington run that included a three-set upset of Frances Tiafoe, giving the French left-hander several quality wins during this North American stretch. His game remains volatile, but that aggression also allows him to steal sets quickly when his first serve and forehand are clicking.

Mensik is 26-13 this season with an Auckland title and a run to the Roland Garros semifinals. He looked far less comfortable in his Montreal opener, needing three sets to beat Jacob Fearnley 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Mensik remains capable of taking over with his serve and first-strike power, but dropping the middle set against Fearnley showed that there are opportunities to disrupt him.

This is the first career meeting between the two. Mensik has the cleaner all-around profile, but Atmane’s left-handed serve creates unusual patterns and his willingness to attack immediately can prevent Mensik from settling into comfortable baseline exchanges. Neither player is especially interested in grinding conservatively, increasing the potential for significant momentum swings.

Terence Atmane vs. Jakub Mensik Best Bet

Mensik deserves to be favored and remains the more likely winner, which makes Atmane +175 unnecessarily aggressive. The three-set market only requires Atmane to sustain his current level for one set, and he has already accomplished that against Draper, Khachanov and Tiafoe. Mensik can eventually impose the superior weapons, but another straightforward victory is far from guaranteed.
