Michael Zheng and Lorenzo Musetti meet in the third round of the Cincinnati Open on outdoor hard courts. Musetti is a -200 moneyline favorite with Zheng at +162, while the preferred market is Over 22.5 total games at -125.
Zheng has already played four matches in Cincinnati after coming through qualifying and winning his first two main-draw matches. He survived Fabian Marozsan 3-6, 6-1, 7-6(1), then produced his best result of the week by beating No. 24 seed Ugo Humbert 6-4, 6-3. Those were the first two Masters 1000 main-draw victories of his career.

Michael Zheng vs. Lorenzo Musetti Prediction
The 22-year-old has climbed rapidly after spending much of his development at Columbia, where he won consecutive NCAA singles championships. Cincinnati is another step up, but Zheng has already shown an ability to handle long matches and difficult moments, including three-set victories in both rounds of qualifying before the main draw.
Musetti looked much sharper in his Cincinnati opener, beating Daniel Altmaier 6-4, 6-2. The Italian desperately needed that kind of uncomplicated victory after Rafael Jodar beat him twice during the opening portion of the North American hard-court swing, first 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 in Washington and then 6-4, 6-3 in Montreal.
This is the first meeting between Zheng and Musetti. Musetti owns the obvious advantage in experience and has gone 15-1 against players outside the Top 50 since last October, but his best tennis historically has come on slower surfaces where he has more time to construct points. Zheng's aggressive baseline game and improving confidence should give him opportunities to stay attached on Cincinnati's hard courts.
The workload is the primary concern for Zheng. He has already needed four victories simply to reach this point, while Musetti received the benefits of being seeded and has played only one match. At the same time, that volume has allowed Zheng to become completely accustomed to the courts, and he has dropped only one set across his two main-draw matches.

Musetti remains the more likely winner, but -200 asks bettors to trust a player who has been vulnerable on North American hard courts recently. Zheng does not need to pull another upset for the total to cash. One 7-5 set, a tiebreak or Zheng forcing a deciding set would put Over 22.5 in an excellent position, making the game total more attractive than either moneyline.
