Arthur Fery vs. Aleksandar Kovacevic Prediction, Betting Pick, Latest Winston-Salem Open Odds - Thursday, August 27th

Arthur Fery and Aleksandar Kovacevic meet Thursday night in one of the most intriguing Winston-Salem Open quarterfinals. Both players have yet to drop a set this week, but Kovacevic enters off the biggest victory between them after eliminating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the previous round.

Arthur Fery vs. Aleksandar Kovacevic Prediction: Can Kovacevic Stay Hot After Stunning Tsitsipas in Straight Sets Yesterday in Winston-Salem?

Fery and Kovacevic are scheduled for a 6:30 PM ET start on Stadium Court, and the market views the quarterfinal as essentially a coin flip. Fery is priced at -115 while Kovacevic sits just behind him at -106, leaving little separation between the rising British star and the American playing in home conditions.

Fery has done almost nothing wrong so far. The World No. 37 received a first-round bye before beating Cruz Hewitt 6-1, 7-5 and Mees Rottgering 6-3, 6-3. He is now 28-14 this season and 11-5 on outdoor hard courts after one of the biggest breakthrough years of his career.

Kovacevic has had to win one additional match, but his road has arguably been more impressive. He beat Felix Balshaw 6-4, 7-6, took down No. 11 seed Luca Van Assche 6-1, 7-6 and then eliminated Tsitsipas 6-3, 7-6 on Wednesday.

Arthur Fery vs. Aleksandar Kovacevic Prediction

Three matches, six sets and zero sets lost is difficult to ignore. More importantly, Kovacevic has repeatedly handled tight moments. His last three matches have included four tiebreaks, and he has won every one of them. The 7-1 tiebreak against Tsitsipas was particularly emphatic when he had an opportunity to close out the upset.

Fery is deservedly receiving respect after his excellent season, but this is the first meeting between the two and current tournament form becomes especially important without any head-to-head history. Kovacevic has already adjusted to the conditions over three matches and has faced significantly more resistance along the way.

There is always some concern about a letdown immediately after beating a player with Tsitsipas' résumé. The counterargument is that Kovacevic never had to go through the emotional and physical grind of a three-set upset. He finished it in two and should arrive Thursday believing his game is capable of beating anyone left in this draw.

Arthur Fery vs. Aleksandar Kovacevic Best Bet

At -106, there is no premium attached to that momentum. Fery may own the better 2026 record and ranking, but Kovacevic has been flawless through three rounds and just knocked out one of the tournament's biggest names without dropping a set. Ride the American for another round.
