Lloyd Harris vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas Prediction, Betting Pick, Latest US Open Odds for Wednesday, September 2nd

Stefanos Tsitsipas enters the second round of the US Open with legitimate momentum after producing one of the biggest upsets of Round 1 against Arthur Fils. Lloyd Harris has been excellent in New York as well, but Tsitsipas finally looked like the former Top-5 player who spent years making deep Grand Slam runs and gets a significantly more manageable opponent Wednesday.

Lloyd Harris vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas Prediction: Can Tsitsipas Carry Momentum After Upsetting Fils in First Round?

Harris and Tsitsipas are scheduled for approximately 4:30 PM ET, with Tsitsipas a -253 moneyline favorite and Harris at +194. The preferred angle is the set spread, where Tsitsipas can drop one set and still cover with either a 3-0 or 3-1 victory.

Tsitsipas entered the US Open with serious questions after falling outside the Top 50 and drawing Cincinnati champion Fils immediately. He then produced his best performance of the summer, coming back from a set and a break down to win 4-6, 7-6, 6-1, 6-4. Fils entered 5-0 against him and had beaten Tsitsipas 6-0, 6-1 in Miami earlier this year, making the turnaround even more impressive.

Lloyd Harris vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas Prediction

The serve was central to the upset. Tsitsipas finished with 14 aces and 50 winners, won 79% of his first-serve points and held in 17 of 20 service games. Once he escaped the second set, his confidence visibly changed and Fils could not regain control. Tsitsipas won the third 6-1 and broke early enough in the fourth to close out the match without allowing another momentum swing.

That performance matters because Tsitsipas has spent much of 2026 searching for exactly this type of result. He ended a 16-month title drought in Gstaad during July but went only 4-4 during the North American hard-court swing. Beating the hottest player on tour after trailing substantially is the kind of victory that can change the confidence level of a former World No. 3.

Harris cannot be dismissed. The South African came through qualifying and then completely controlled wild card Jack Kennedy in Round 1, winning 6-4, 6-2, 6-2. Harris hit 16 aces against just one double fault, won 79% of his first-serve points and faced only one break point during the entire match.

The difference is the level of resistance. Kennedy is an 18-year-old ranked well outside the Top 300, while Tsitsipas just survived Fils at close to his highest level. Harris' serve can absolutely steal a set, particularly if Tsitsipas' return position allows him to dictate with the first ball, but sustaining that advantage for three sets is much more difficult.

This will be the first career meeting between them. Harris' serve and flatter hard-court game should create a few dangerous stretches, but Tsitsipas has the greater baseline variety, better movement and significantly more experience navigating best-of-five matches. His forehand also looked dangerous enough against Fils to punish Harris whenever the South African fails to land the first serve.

Lloyd Harris vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas Best Bet

The outright moneyline is too expensive after the Round 1 upset, but the -1.5-set spread provides enough protection. Harris can serve his way into one set without ruining the ticket, while Tsitsipas only needs to carry his renewed confidence into three of the four potential sets.
