Jiri Lehecka vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas Prediction, Betting Pick, Latest US Open Odds for Friday, September 4th
Jiri Lehecka and Stefanos Tsitsipas meet Friday in a third-round matchup that looks far more evenly balanced than the rankings suggest. Lehecka owns the recent head-to-head advantage, but Tsitsipas has rediscovered his serve and confidence in New York, making the total more attractive than trying to choose a winner.

Jiri Lehecka vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas Prediction
Tsitsipas has taken a much more difficult path. He first upset Arthur Fils 4-6, 7-6, 6-1, 6-4 and then survived Lloyd Harris 6-7, 6-3, 7-6, 6-4. Against Harris, Tsitsipas hit 15 aces and won 81% of first-serve points, continuing the serving resurgence that has changed his tournament.
Those results are exactly why the winner market is difficult. Lehecka is the more consistent current player, but Tsitsipas has beaten two dangerous opponents and is serving well enough to make sets extremely thin. It would not be surprising if either player won this in four or five.
The head-to-head favors Lehecka recently. He beat Tsitsipas 6-2, 6-4 at Indian Wells in 2024 and 6-4, 6-4 in Antwerp later that year. Those straight-set victories explain some of the favorite price, but the Tsitsipas arriving Friday looks substantially more confident than the version that struggled through much of the last two seasons.
The 40.5-game total needs real resistance from both players, but the serving profiles provide it. A four-set match with a tiebreak and several 6-4 or 7-5 sets can clear the number, while any fifth set makes the path substantially easier.

There is not enough confidence in Tsitsipas' consistency to take the upset and not enough separation to lay a significant price with Lehecka. Expect both to win at least one set and push this deep into Friday evening.
