That rematch was separated by only a few points, showing Blockx can compete evenly with Cobolli on the same surface being used in New York.
Blockx’s serve gives him the clearest route to the upset. At 6-foot-4, he can collect quick points and prevent Cobolli from settling into the extended rallies that suit the Italian’s consistency.
