Jake Paul Next Opponent Odds: Which huge name is favourite to face Paul next?

Which high-profile opponent has Jake Paul lined up to fight next?

Jake Paul recently defeated former unified heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson in a 8-round bout in front of 70,000 people at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

Millions tuned in via Netflix to watch the 27-year-old defeat 58-year-old Tyson by unaminous decision to secure his 11th career win.

Boxing purists insist this victory has done nothing to legitimize the former youtubers boxing career, and if anything has only served to diminished Paul’s credibility in professional boxing as he continues to avoid fights with evenly matched athletes in favour of entertainment and financial gain.

Nonetheless, Paul's opponents certainly won't be complaining, with Tyson rumoured to have taken home around $20 million from this fight.

With such a large purse potentially on the table for the next opponent, a number of high profile names have been doing the rounds in the rumour mill and various betting markets.

Lets take a look at who Paul is most likely to fight next.

Potential Opponent Odds
Jorge Masvidal 5/1
Connor Mgregor 5/1
KSI 6/1
Tommy Fury 6/1
Saul (Canelo) Alvarez 7/1

Jorge Masvidal

Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal have long been rumoured to go toe-to-toe with each other, with the latter once threatening that if necessary, he would "break" Paul.

Masvidal has recently retired from fighting in the UFC but has made his boxing debut, losing a close decision to fellow UFC star Nate Diaz.

The fight could even happen in MMA with Paul having expressed interest in stepping into the octagon with Masvidal before.

Connor McGregor

After defeating Mike Tyson, Jake Paul quickly called out former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor, offering to fight him in MMA with no weight class.

McGregor has not fought since July 10, 2021, at UFC 264, when he faced Dustin Poirier in their trilogy match and suffered a leg injury at the end of the first round.

The Irishman also has boxing experience, having fought Floyd Mayweather on August 26, 2017. This boosts the possibilities of a crossover bout in the octagon or ring.

KSI

Another opponent who could possibly face Jake Paul is his brother's business partner and fellow influencer KSI.

The pair have been made their distaste for one another a very public matter and though this fight would do nothing to legitimize Paul's boxing credentials, it would no doubt be an extremely lucrative business decision as a blockbuster event between two of the worlds biggest influencers.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez

Jake Paul has also expressed an interest in fighting Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, seeking to face one of boxing's best pound-for-pound fighters.

Unlike his previous opponents, facing Canelo would be a massive leap in skill level and reputation. The fight would demonstrate Paul's desire to prove himself in the sport but the skill disparity raises concerns about its practicality.

Paul has boldly stated, “This moment will prove that I’m the face of boxing,” as he aims for a cruiserweight title fight with Canelo in 2025.

Despite his lack of experience compared to the seasoned Alvarez, Paul believes Canelo is nearing the end of his career and would be enticed by a lucrative payday.

Tommy Fury

Another prospect for Jake Paul would be a highly anticipated rematch with Tommy Fury following their first fight in 2023.

Fans would be eager to see if Paul can avenge his only defeat to date and claim victory over the brother of Tyson Fury.
