Ivan Gazidis' Arsenal exit has led to Arsene Wenger being cut from 14/1 to just 6/4 to move to Milan.
Bookmakers have revealed where they think Arsene Wenger will ply his trade next, by releasing odds on the ex-Arsenal manager’s next club.
Current favourites for the Frenchman are AC Milan, who lead the market as Wenger’s most likely destination at 6/4.
Bookies cut that all the way from 14/1, following a plethora of punting attention on the potential move.
That’s believed to be due to the strong relationship between ex-Arsenal Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis and Wenger, with punters staking their hard-earned cash on the appointment.
‘No club or country’ is the second favourite at 2/1, and would be settled by bookies if the 68-year-old is not in charge permanently at a club before 1st August 2019.
World Cup champions and Wenger’s homeland of France is third favourite at 4/1, followed by perennial French champions PSG at 6/1.
Wenger’s potential new suitors dropped points for the third time in the league at the weekend, drawing 2-2 at home to Atalanta.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “Gazidis' switch to AC Milan makes this an obvious move for Wenger to make, although any bettors have to question whether the former Arsenal manager will want to give up his newfound life of leisure for the daily grind of club management.
“There’s been a plethora of cash staked on the Frenchman taking over at the Italian giants, and considering the links with the current Chief Exec, it’s easy to see why this story is picking up pace.”
