The Frenchman is the favourite amongst some bookmakers following Steve Bruce’s sacking.
Bookmakers have released odds on who could be named the next manager of Aston Villa, following news Steve Bruce has been sacked.
Thierry Henry has been installed as a 6/4 favourite to take over at Villa Park with some bookmakers, with Sam Allardyce and Dean Smith poised close behind in the running.
Elsewhere, ex-Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy is a 6/1 shot to take over the club to try and get them back in the Premier League.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “It hasn't quite been the start Villa would have hoped for after their heavy investment.
“Bruce struggled to win over a large amount of the fans and we could well see Thierry Henry get his first taste in management.
“Early money is being punted on Henry getting the gig, although perennial go-to firefighter manager Sam Allardyce could be one to watch.”
