The club that wouldn't die are currently in the League One playoff places.
It’s a remarkable story and one that could well continue - Accrington Stanley are currently sitting pretty at fifth place in League One and have only lost once all season.
Highest place for 50 years.

After dispatching Doncaster on Tuesday night, Accrington are dreaming of a second successive promotion, and following in the footsteps of Burton and Yeovil by punching above their weight to make the second tier.
John Coleman continues to thrive with one of the smallest budgets and crowds in the whole EFL, rightly picking up plenty of plaudits.
It appears that bookies are still cool about Stanley’s chances of remaining where they are though: You can still get a best price of 22/1 that Stanley get promoted this season, putting them below the likes of Fleetwood and Blackpool.
However they have been enjoying some support from the punters: They have had 15% of total bets in the promotion market since Tuesday (02/10), just 3% less than odds on shot Sunderland (11/10 best price).
Finally, it’s a huge turnaround in the relegation market. Starting off at 5/4 before a ball was kicked, they are now a huge 16/1 best price to go down. Less than 10% of bets in the last week have gone on Stanley to go down, and it now remains to be seen if the Lancashire side can solidify their place in the third tier, or go one better!
Oddschecker Spokesman George Elek: “Accrington are playing some fantastic football, and rightly deserve to be in the League One playoff places right now. If they went up it would undoubtedly be the story of the season and if anyone can guide Stanley to the promised land, it’s John Coleman.”
