He also favours Mike Phelan over Zinedine Zidane for the Old Trafford hot seat.
Manchester United super fan Andy Tate has desperately called for the Class of ‘92 to save the failing club, insisting the likes of Paul Scholes and even Mike Phelan are the men to turn it around.
In an exclusive interview with Oddschecker, the man who became famous for saying ‘Give it Giggsy’, literally still wants to ‘Give it Giggsy’.
Despite having met Jose Mourinho, the viral sensation is not sure about the future of the Portuguese boss. He said: “If you sack him you’re back to square one aren’t you? I don’t know how I feel at the moment, they’re all to blame for this fiasco, the state we’re in.
“Season starts to fall apart, Mourinho is moaning, he’s not got the transfer targets, he’s picking the wrong formations, McTominay at West Ham? A centre-back playing in a back three.
“He crucified the poor lad, took the confidence out of him. The players are rebelling because of Mourinho picking on them.
“We all know who it is, Mr Pogba - Mr Haircut 100. All the years, all the history, the players, they’ve never rebelled.
“There’s never been a mutiny in the dressing room.”
When posed with the question of who he would like to see take over from Jose at the Old Trafford side, Tate disregarded the current front-runners.
He said: “Zidane? Not qualified. Pochettino? What’s he won? Closest he’s got is the FA Cup semi-final.”
“(I want) The Class of 92, some guidance, just to steady the ship. Like I say, maybe give it Giggsy until the end of the season. Get Mike Phelan in for a bit of guidance.
“Or Paul Scholes, maybe even Roy Keane, let’s get back to basics. Get some boot-room experience in, guide the ship, steady it and see where we are at Christmas. And if we’re doing well, just carry on with it until the end of the season.
“If Mourinho goes, the players are happy and you get a structure in place to play football. Get back to basics. If we challenge, the fans are happy - if we don’t, we’re stuffed.”
