He's managed in Japan, France and England - Could Germany be next for Wenger?
Arsene Wenger is the odds-on red hot favourite to be the next Bayern Munich manager, following reports that the German club are set to sack their current boss Niko Kovac.
Wenger’s odds have tumbled this morning with the rumour in some of the day’s papers, cut from 4/1 to 8/11 to make the switch to Bayern.
Punters have been backing the move as well, with 46% of all bets on Wenger’s next club being placed on the Bundesliga giants.
Elsewhere, ‘no club or country by 1st August 2019’ is the second favourite at 4/1, followed by any Chinese team at 7/1. France are the fourth favourites at 7/1, then Real Madrid (8/1), PSG (9/1) and Barcelona (10/1).
Ever since he left Arsenal, speculation has been rife as to who Arsene Wenger would manage next. He has said that he expects to be in a job by January 1st, and the markets suggest that a move to Bavarian giants Bayern Munich could be on the cards.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “Wenger has said that he expects to be in a job by New Year's Day so this looks a good fit given the struggles that Nico Kovac is having at Bayern Munich.
“This move would give Wenger a real chance of landing the elusive Champions League title, which surely he couldn't turn down.”
