Some bookies now have Arsenal more likely than Spurs to win the Premier League.
It was a sublime night of attacking football by Arsenal and bookies are waking up to Unai Emery’s side, who now have ten wins in all competitions.
The Gunners beat Leicester 3-1 and will go into their European exploits full of confidence.
Bookmakers have cut their price to win the Premier League, and some have Arsenal as short as 25/1 to mount an unlikely title challenge, a better price than their North London rivals Spurs who are 28s with the same bookie.
They are however a best price of 33/1, but two-goal hero Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a big market mover in the Golden Boot race.
The Gabon international is now as short as 6/1 (10/1 best price) for top scorer, after being as big as 20/1 at the start of the day.
Aubameyang now has six goals, just one behind Eden Hazard who tops the list with seven, and is 6/1 in places as well.
Emery’s side are now also odds-on to finish in the Top Four, with bookies going 5/6 that the North London team get back into the Champions League. They’re a best price of 6/4.
Arsenal will now play Sporting Lisbon on Thursday, and are 23/17 best price to make it 11 wins in a row. They remain the 15/2 second-favourites to win the Europa League.
Oddschecker Spokesman George Elek: “Arsenal are firing in the goals lately and are so easy on the eye. Odds-on now for a Top Four finish, Unai Emery will be keen to keep the run going and to keep getting service to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: The Gabon striker is bearing down on the rest in the Golden Boot race.”
