The eight-time gold medallist is being heavily punted to join Borussia Dortmund.
Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt is being heavily backed for a sensational move to Borussia Dortmund, with punters lumping their money on the Bundesliga giants.
A flurry of bets over the past 24 hours from across the country has seen Dortmund dominate the betting, with a whopping 94% of all bets being placed on Die Schwarzgelben.
Bookmakers make it just 5/1 that the eight-time gold medallist signs for Lucien Favre’s side before the 3rd February 2019.
That means Dortmund are second favourites to secure the signature of Bolt, with Central Coast Mariners favourites in the race for the Olympian.
The Mariners are 1/2 to sign the striker, following reports they’ve offered him a £150,000 after a successful trial at the club. However, Bolt is believed to be looking for an offer in the region of £3m.
Elsewhere, Melbourne Victory are 6/1 to sign Bolt, followed by any Chinese Super League club (9/1), LA Galaxy (12/1) and Ferencvaros (20/1).
For a move to the Scottish Premiership, both Rangers and Celtic have been touted as 66/1 outsiders to get their hands on Bolt.
Bolt grabbed two goals on his first ever start for the Mariners. However, he was not included in the squad for their first game of the season against Brisbane Roar on Sunday.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “Bolt to BVB is a rumour that won't go away.
"The Central Coast Mariners manager claimed yesterday that talk of a full-time offer being made to the Jamaican was wide of the mark, which could pave the way for Dortmund to become favourites to land the sprinter-turned-striker."
