A first win of the season has given Neil Warnock's men a shot in the arm.
Cardiff are being heavily backed to make a sensational recovery and stay in the Premier League, with punters lumping on the Bluebirds to beat the drop.
Before their game with Fulham at the weekend, Neil Warnock’s side were favourites to be relegated. However, the win has moved them above Huddersfield in the battle for the drop.
They’ve lengthened from 1/4 into 4/9 to go straight back down to the Championship, whilst Huddersfield are now 2/5 favourites.
Elsewhere, despite losing to Cardiff, Fulham are odds-against third favourites to go down at 6/4, followed by Burnley (7/4), Newcastle (15/8) and Crystal Palace (11/2).
The emphatic victory appears to have eased pressure on Warnock, who’s drifted from 5/1 into 9/1 to be the first manager relieved of their duties.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “There’s not been too much to cheer about this year for Cardiff fans, although Saturday’s win has given fans and punters a glimmer of hope.
“Unlike fellow strugglers Huddersfield, Cardiff's manager is seemingly under pressure to turn results around to keep his job.
“The win against Fulham is a massive step in the right direction, although Warnock remains 10/1 to be the next manager sacked compared to Wagner at 25/1.”
