Odds slashed on PSG swooping for top Manchester United star in January

Struggling player's time at United could be up, according to bookies.

A winter of change could well be in order at Manchester United, with reports indicating that a key part of Jose Mourinho’s midfield could be off to French giants Paris St Germain.

Reports indicate that Alexis Sanchez could be out of the door come the end of January, and the Ligue 1 leaders are currently favourites in the betting market to capture the 29-year-old’s signature.

Sanchez is just 3/1 to join PSG, in from 6/1 previously. That’s clear of joint second-favourites Barcelona and Real Madrid, who are 8/1 each to sign the Chile international.

It’s a similar story when looking at what the punters fancy, with PSG attracting half of all bets (52%) in the market.

If Sanchez does leave, it would spell the end of a disappointing time at Old Trafford, the Midfielder arriving with such fanfare after joining United from rivals Arsenal.

It would also see Sanchez following in the footsteps of fellow flop Angel Di Maria, who joined PSG back in 2015 and currently remains the last player to move between the two teams.

Oddschecker Spokesman George Elek: “It has been a turbulent time at Old Trafford for Alexis Sanchez and he may be out the door after just a year, as PSG could be preparing a bid to take the Chile star to France.

“They are 3/1 favourite for his signature in the January transfer window and his exit would still be a shock, despite the 29-year-old’s middling performances for the Red Devils.”
