86% of all bets this morning on the Premier League winner have been placed on the Cottagers.
The hiring of Premier League winning manager Claudio Ranieri has led to a spate of bets on the unthinkable happening and Fulham winning the league.
Despite being one of the favourites for relegation, bookmakers have earmarked the chances of it happening at 5000/1 best price – the exact same odds given to Ranieri’s Leicester winning the title in 2015/16.
This morning alone following the announcement of the Tinkerman joining the West London club, 86% of all bets have been placed on the Cottagers winning the league.
For perspective, that’s comfortably more than favourites Man City (4%) and Liverpool (10%), with money continuing to pour in for Ranieri and his new side.
Elsewhere at the other end of the table, punters are also backing Fulham to stay in the Premier League following the dismissal of Slasiva Jokanovic.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson said: “Fulham are languishing at the bottom of the league and Ranieri has a mountain to climb to even drag his new team out of a relegation battle, let alone the insurmountable task of winning the title.
"Although, many were left regretting their decision not to back Leicester at the same odds, so we're sure to see some speculative punting on Fulham this time round."
