Yaya Toure backed for Premier League return following Olympiacos exit

A Premier League club is being heavily punted to sign the box-to-box midfielder.

Bookmakers have released odds on Yaya Toure’s next club, following his contract termination by Olympiacos.

West Ham are the current favourites out of all Premier League teams in the hunt for his signature, priced at 10/1 to secure the services of the midfielder.

Punters are backing the Ivorian to sign for the Hammers as well, with 78% of the early money being placed on the East London side.

The current favourites to sign the 35-year-old are ‘any Chinese team’ and ‘any MLS team’, both priced at 2/1 to lure Toure oversees.

Elsewhere, Championship side Nottingham Forest are 16/1, alongside Scottish side Rangers at the same price. Newly promoted Wolves are also 16/1.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Yaya Toure certainly isn't short of Premier League pedigree, but he was firmly out of favour at City before departing for Greece."

“In the twilight of his career at 35, his next destination looks likely to be a less demanding league."
