Rowett dismissed as the Potters sit 14th in the Championship.
It’s been a season to forget for Stoke City so far and it has cost Gary Rowett his job.
David Moyes has been installed as the favourite to take over at the bet365 Stadium, with the former Manchester United manager just evens to return to the dugout.
Slavisa Jokanovic is next in line at 5/1, with the Serbian also looking for a return to management.
Derek McInnes completes the top three at 8/1, with the Aberdeen manager previously refusing a number of jobs in England, most notably at Sunderland.
The Potters would have been hoping for a swift return to the top flight but are eight points off the playoff places, and are a best price of 22/1 for promotion.
On the flipside they are 13 points outside the bottom three, and can be backed at 500/1 for relegation, with some bookies going as short as 250/1.
Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “There’s no doubt who the bookies have as clear favourite to take over from Gary Rowett, with David Moyes installed as the early frontrunner.
“Reports suggest Moyes is ready for a return to management and is keen for the Potters job, and that’s resonated with punters.
“78% of all bets on the next manager have been placed on the ex-Manchester United manager, by far the most in the market.”
