Reports have linked the Real Madrid playmaker with a move to England.
Bookies have slashed odds on the possibility of Isco joining Chelsea in this transfer window. Priced at 10/1 earlier this week, he’s now as short as 13/8 to make the move to the West London club.
With a whopping 89% of bets in the last 24 hours on this market going on a move to Chelsea, punters are expecting the reported interest to result in a transfer this month.
The Spaniard is priced at 6/4 to leave the La Liga giants this month, while longer shots include Manchester United (10/1) and Manchester City (14/1).
The 26-year-old midfielder has had a fractious relationship with Real Madrid fans this season and found himself surplus to requirements, despite the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Maurizio Sarri, meanwhile, appears to be preparing his squad for the possible loss of Eden Hazard this summer. The Belgian has long been linked with a dream move to the Bernabeu, and should Isco move the other way many would expect that switch to finally happen.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “Plenty of the transfer news so far this January has involved Chelsea. Having already signed Christian Pulisic, they’re expected to dip into the market again at least once.”
“With N’Golo Kante currently being played out of position in a more advanced role, Isco’s creativity would certainly be a welcome addition to the Chelsea line-up.”
