The midfielder is now 7/2 to move to the French champions having been as short as 1/2 yesterday.
Idrissa Gueye looked nailed on for a move away from Merseyside this month, as short as 1/2 to join Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain. However, that price has now drifted considerably to 7/2. One bookie has stood pretty firm with their price, he remains even money for the move with Bet Victor.
The Senegalese midfielder is now priced at 1/6 to stay at Everton, implying an 85.7% probability he will be playing his football at Goodison Park for the rest of the season.
Everton reportedly rejected a bid for the 29-year-old earlier this week and though many expected PSG to return with an improved offer, that now looks unlikely to happen according to the odds.
Amidst rumours that Gueye had submitted a formal transfer request last night, the club put their foot down and assured fans the midfielder would not be going anywhere.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: "Idrissa Gueye will be devastated that his move to PSG now looks dead in the water as this sort of opportunity may not come around for the 29-year-old again.
"Whether he is good enough to start for the French champions is extremely debatable, so maybe it is best for both parties this deal doesn’t go through."
