The Canaries have been heavily backed after beating Leeds to go top.
Norwich City have gone from strength to strength this season and this weekend’s win over Leeds at Elland Road has seen them become the league and leaders and Championship title favourites with the bookies.
Available at a huge 100/1 in September, Daniel Farke’s side have gone on to become the team to beat, with bookies now making them as short as 6/4 (and a best price of 9/5) to win the title for the first time since 2004.
Since the final whistle blew on Saturday evening’s huge 3-1 win, over half of total Championship Winners bets have gone on Norwich, way more than Sheffield United, the next best backed team with 15%.
The Blades won as well this weekend, and are currently 8/1 best price to win the league.
Long-time pacesetters Leeds are 15/8 best price after this setback and will look to beat Middlesbrough away from home (16/9) to keep the pressure on.
Norwich meanwhile have the East Anglian Derby this Sunday against Ipswich. They’re unbeaten in ten years against their bitter rivals and are just 4/9 best price to beat the Tractor Boys again.
Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “People have kept expecting Norwich to fall away but Daniel Farke’s side put out a huge statement by beating Leeds away. With West Brom and Sheffield United still well in the mix, the Championship title race could go down to the wire, and be one of the best in years.”
