One of world football’s hottest prospects could be on his way back to English football.
Priced at 25/1 towards the end of the January transfer window, Manchester United are now 4/1 favourites to be the next destination for Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho.
Accruing 78% of bets on that market in the last week, punters are taking the price on United before it gets any shorter.
The English wonder kid has lit up the Bundesliga this season, clocking up seven goals and eleven assists in his 21 league appearances, plus a goal and an assist in the Champions League.
Previously linked with a move back to former club Manchester City, it is now their local rivals that bookies have put in the driver’s seat in the market to sign the 18-year-old.
With a big money move elsewhere in Europe very much a possibility, a move to any Spanish club is priced at 4/1, while a move to Italy or France is deemed less likely at 8/1. Chelsea top a list of other Premier League clubs in the market at 8/1.
