A familiar face is first in line to take over from struggling Marco Silva
Former Everton boss David Moyes has been installed as the new favourite for next permanent Everton boss, as pressure continues to mount on Marco Silva.
Moyes has been cut from 25/1 into 5/4 clear favourite for the job, following a flurry of bets on the 55-year-old being appointed.
Punters are betting on a sweet Toffees renaissance, with 52% of all bets on Marco Silva’s successor being Moyes.
The Scotsman is the only candidate in the running, according to the bookies, with the nearest challenger in Philip Cocu, installed as long 9/1 to take over.
Next comes City assistant boss Mikel Arteta, who chimes in at 11/1 to re-join the club where he made 162 appearances.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: "The Marco Silva love affair has been extremely short lived but crawling back to your ex's is never advised.
"Everton would be better off going for a younger and more progressive manager and ex-midfielder Mikel Arteta could be the perfect candidate could they tempt him away from Man City."
