The most backed teams in the English Leagues this weekend

The most backed teams in the English Leagues this weekend

We reveal the most backed side in each tier of English football.

NEWCASTLE to beat Watford

Newcastle are being heavily backed by punters to register back-to-back victories in the Premier League when they welcome Watford to St James’ Park on Saturday. They put in a brilliant away performance against Tottenham last weekend which they will take vast amounts of confidence from. Their new striker Joelinton was on target and it looks like they have found themselves an impressive number nine. Watford on the other hand look in dire straits and are still without a point in the league. Poor recruitment in the summer and a desperately bad start to the season has meant Javi Garcia’s job is under immense pressure and they face another tough task this weekend. Newcastle are a best price of 7/4.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST to beat Preston

Nottingham Forest are a new look side this season and under new manager Sabri Lamouchi they look a force to be reckoned with in the Championship. They are undefeated in the league and have gone toe- to -toe with some of the favourites for promotion. They disposed of a strong Fulham side at the weekend with relative ease and then thumped rivals Derby County in the League Cup midweek. Preston have also started the season strongly but face a hard challenge this weekend. They will have to be at the top of their game but punters feel the home side will have too much for them. Nottingham Forest are a best price of 13/10.

ROTHERHAM to beat Tranmere

Rotherham have started the season well registering two wins out of three. They beat a strong Burton side away from home which outlined their intentions in the league this season. Tranmere, on the other hand, are struggling and barring a win against Bolton, have only picked up one point so far this season. They looked especially poor against Bristol Rovers last weekend and having already picked up two red cards this season, discipline looks an issue. They seem to be struggling in League One after securing back-to-back promotions to get them there. The loss of their star player James Norwood has not helped matters either. It is obvious why punters fancy Rotherham, they are a best price of 4/6.

CRAWLEY to beat Cheltenham

Crawley seem to have clicked this season and have registered two wins in a row, including a stunning 1-0 victory over Premier League Norwich in the League Cup during the week. They have not been short of goals so far this season scoring three times twice. Their defence needs some more work but a clean sheet in the week will give them a lot of confidence going forward. Cheltenham have been hit and miss this season and will be disappointed they could only draw at home to a ten man Swindon last weekend. They arrive at Crawley this weekend very much up against it and punters really fancy the chances of the home team this weekend. They are a best price of 5/4.

The four-fold pays an enticing 20/1.
