Middlesbrough's Chris Wilder remains the clear favourite in the next Burnley manager odds market despite the team's resurgence under interim manager Mike Jackson.
Wilder only took over on Teesside in November but has taken the side from 14th to just outside the Championship playoff places.
He said over the weekend that he is keen on a return to the Premier League, yet his aim is to get back in the big time with Boro. Wilder was also quoted as saying "I don't just jump from job to job" - suggesting a move after less than six months was unlikely.
However, with his team still five points adrift of his former employers Sheffield United in sixth place after a weekend draw with Swansea, albeit with a game in hand, speculation linking him with a move to Burnley is unlikely to go away.
The 54-year-old is a best price 7/4 to become the new permanent manager at Turf Moor (worst price 11/10), with Wayne Rooney, Rafa Benitez and Jackson his likeliest challengers according to latest odds through oddschecker.

Jackson (best price 10/1) has reflected on the "big lift" his players will get from moving out of the Premier League relegation zone at the expense of Everton over the weekend. Burnley have now taken an impressive seven points from three games under Jackson since sacking Sean Dyche.
Rooney (4/1), meanwhile, is considered likely to leave relegated Derby County this summer after falling short in a gallant bid to beat the drop from a -21 point start. Benitez (8/1) has been out of work since being sacked by Everton in January.
‘Big Sam’ Allardyce, the survival specialist immediately installed as the bookies favourite when Dyche was booted 10 days ago, is now available at a best price 20/1 through oddschecker.
