oddschecker have the latest on the next Burnley manager odds market.
News broke on Friday morning that Burnley sacked their long-time serving manager Sean Dyche. It comes as a surprise to many that Burnley have decided to sack Dyche considering how long he has been at the club and how he has managed to compete in the Premier League with a small budget.
There had been rumours however that there was growing frustrations between himself and the club’s chairman. Whatever has went on behind the scenes it has clearly been deemed enough to get rid of the 49-year-old Englishman.
Burnley are currently sitting in the relegation zone with the safety of 17th place currently four points away. Whoever comes in next will certainly face a tough task to guide this Burnley side to Premier League safety. Before Dyche’s sacking they had lost five of their last six games.
Where will Burnley turn next?

Big Sam the survival specialist
No matter what you think about Sam Allardyce’s style of play, he gets results when it matters. He holds a formidable reputation of helping clubs survive the drop. His direct style of play stifles the opposition and causes problems. It’s simple and to many boring football but it is effective none the less. He is the current favorite in the market at 7/2 with odds continuing to shorten.

Ex-Burnley man Duff second favourite
The ex-Burnley player Michael Duff is currently second favourite in the market. He played 342 matches for the club and then went on to manage the reserve and youth teams for two years. He eventually left the club in 2016 and now manages Cheltenham town. He successfully guided them to their first ever automatic promotion from League Two as manager on 27 April 2021.
He could certainly be an option for Burnley however with no Premier League managerial experience he may find life tough and therefore it would be deemed a risky appointment by many. He is available at 6/1.
Who else is in the running?
Other candidates in the market include a few notable names such as Derby boss Wayne Rooney (12/1), Nuno Espirito Santo (14/1), Rafael Benitez (16/1), former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (18/1) and ex-Burnley midfielder Joey Barton (20/1).
