Kjetil Knutsen remains the favourite to replace Graham Potter in the next Brighton manager odds market but there is a new Italian contender.
Who are the favourites?
Kjetil Knutsen
FK Bodø/Glimt's manager Kjetil Knutsen remains the strong favourite (now 7/2 best but 2/1 in places). Having joined in January 2018, the Norwegian led the club to successive Eliteserien titles in 2020 and 2021. With nine games to go this season, Bodø/Glimt sit 2nd in the table - 10 points behind Molde.

Roberto De Zerbi
Sandwiched between Knutsen and the rest of the pack is Italian manager and former player Roberto De Zerbi, most recently with Shakhtar Donetsk. He left the club in July 2022 because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The 43-year-old, who has held five other managerial positions in Italy, was 22/1 in the next Brighton odds market last Thursday but now finds himself as short as 2/1 in places (4/1 best price).
Steve Cooper
Could Cooper be tempted to leave Forest so soon after overseeing one of the biggest recruitment drives in Premier League history? The 42-year-old has come in from 14/1 when the market opened into 6/1 second favourite to replace Potter at the Amex Stadium. His Forest side are 19th with just four points from six games, while Brighton sit inside the top four with four wins and 13 points.

And what about a few outsiders?
Thomas Frank
Thomas Frank (best price 50/1 but worst price 16/1) was one of the outsiders in the early next Chelsea manager odds market, before new owner Todd Boehly identified Potter as his top target for the big spending Blues. In just six matches so far, the Brentford manager has already overseen a 4-0 win over Manchester United and a 5-2 hammering of Leeds this season.
Since taking the Bees up to the big time from the Championship in 2020/21, the 48-year-old has also been praised for his style of front foot football - a hallmark of Potter's time on the south coast.

Nathan Jones
Nathan Jones (best price 14/1) is another interesting candidate in the next Brighton manager odds market, given that he failed to deliver in his biggest managerial assignment so far with Stoke. However, he is rebuilding his reputation in a second stint with Luton, taking the Hatters to the brink of the Premier League last season before falling in the playoffs to Huddersfield.
49-year-old Jones made 159 league appearances for Brighton as a player, while he has already managed the Seagulls during a brief caretaker spell in 2014 (one win and one draw) before the club appointed Potter's predecessor Chris Hughton.
Brendan Rodgers
Under-fire Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers may be ready to take an escape route from the King Power to high-flying Brighton. The Northern Irishman, Leicester boss since February 2019, was one of the early favourites to replace Chelsea-bound Graham Potter but has drifted to a best price of 25/1.
The 49-year-old, who has won both the FA Cup and the Community Shield during his time in East Midlands, has come under huge pressure after recording just a single draw and five defeats in the first six Premier League fixtures – only Bournemouth, who lost 9-0 at Anfield, have conceded more goals.
