Sam McGuire analyses six of the biggest stories set to dominate Transfer Deadline Day for Premier League clubs, including latest bookmaker odds.
Deadline day is upon us and some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League are still scrambling to get deals done. It is sometimes difficult to keep up with what is going on, so we’re going to do our very best with this breakdown of some potential deadline-day moves.
Enzo Fernandez
What's the latest?
Chelsea are expected to pay a British transfer record to pry the World Cup winner away from Benfica. Having failed earlier on in the window, the Blues have returned with an improved offer for the 22-year-old and multiple reports claim the £115million bid has been accepted by the Portuguese giants.
This seems likely given Chelsea have accepted Arsenal’s £12million bid for Jorginho. Fernandez is 8/11 at the time of writing to join Chelsea before the window closes.
Moises Caicedo
What's the latest?
According to reports, Arsenal have given up hope of signing the Brighton midfielder. But that is the beauty of deadline day, things can change in the blink of an eye and there are still a good 12 hours before paperwork needs to be finalised.
If the Premier League leaders are serious about adding the 21-year-old to their ranks, they could make the Seagulls an offer they simply cannot refuse.
Brighton have held firm so far and have been pretty clear with their stance, but would they risk ruining the atmosphere at the club by keeping an unhappy player around?
Caicedo is 1/10 to remain a Seagull from 1st February and 6/1 best price to join Mikel Arteta’s title-chasing Gunners (2/1 with one bookmaker).
Jorginho
What's the latest?
It seems Arteta is finally going to get his man. The Italian playmaker was linked with a move to the Emirates back in 2020, so pivoting to him on deadline day isn’t quite as wild as it first appears.
Arsenal clearly rate Jorginho and they’ve been pretty spot-on with their player identification over recent windows, so why doubt them now? The £12million fee is reasonable and offers them some much-needed cover in midfield. He is 4/11 to sign for Arsenal today.

Conor Gallagher
What's the latest?
Gallagher reportedly turned down a move to Everton yesterday but a conversation with Sean Dyche could well change his mind. The Chelsea midfielder has also been linked with Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Brighton and Nottingham Forest.
A move could well materialise with Gallagher in need of first-team minutes and Chelsea keen to add even more midfielders to their ever-increasing roster. Liverpool should put in a sneaky bid for him as a short-term option to help with their midfield woes.
Gallagher is as long as 11/1 with one bookmaker to join Dyche at Everton but as short as 6/4 with another. It is a similar story with Newcastle – best price 9/1 but worst price 2/1.
Pedro Porro
What's the latest?
Porro is in London having a medical ahead of completing his move to Spurs. The deal is basically done (1/20 chance). However, we thought that after Arnaut Danjuma had his medical with Everton only for him to sign with Spurs. Manchester City have just allowed Joao Cancelo to join Bayern Munich on loan and could look to resign Porro, if only for the drama on deadline day.
Jack Harrison
What’s the latest?
Believed to be a transfer target for Leicester City (11/8), Harrison may feel his time is up at Leeds United after they added yet another attacker to their ranks this window in Georginio Rutter.
With Patrick Bamford fit again and new systems being used by Jesse Marsch, Harrison might’ve found his game time limited. Recent reports suggest Leeds are open to selling the player due to the fact he has just 18 months left on his deal at Elland Road.
