Frank Lampard has emerged as a surprise contender to replace Michael Beale as the next manager of Rangers.

The 45-year-old Lampard, capped 106 times by England during his playing career (29 international goals), has been out of work since an ill-fated second spell with Chelsea, this time as a caretaker manager. He managed just a single win from 11 matches.
Muscat is currently in charge of Japanese side Yokohama Marinos having spent the majority of his coaching career in his native Australia with Melbourne Victory, winning both the A-League Championship (twice) and A-League Premiership. He was part of the Rangers side which won a domestic treble of trophies in 2002/03.
