Roy Keane is among the favourites in the next Republic of Ireland manager odds market.
Bookmakers have released the latest odds on who will become the next Republic of Ireland manager after Michael Kenny, whose contract will not be renewed by the FAI.
Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon, out of work since leaving Omonia Nicosia last October, is as short as 2/1 with two leading bookmakers but can still be backed at 6/1 on BetVictor.
Current England U21’s boss Lee Carsley, meanwhile, has shortest best price in the market at 4/1 on Paddy Power (implied 20% chance). Carsley is also a frontrunner in the next England manager odds after Gareth Southgate at a best price of 9/1.
However, Roy Keane is undoubtedly the highest profile potential manager on the Republic of Ireland wish list – the 67-cap midfielder has been given a 36% chance of getting the job (7/4 shortest price) by BetVictor but can be backed at 5/1 in two other places.

Who will be the next Republic of Ireland manager?
Leon Blackman from oddschecker said: “With Michael Kenny’s days as Republic of Ireland manager over, the rumour mill spins as to who could be his replacement.
“Bookmakers have had their say, with former Celtic manager Neil Lennon among the favourites at 2/1 to do so. In what would be a sensational return to management, Roy Keane comes in at a best price 5/1. Over the past seven days, it is Keane who has picked up the most betting traffic, taking over a third of total bets (36%) in this market.
“Some interesting names further down in the list include Steve Bruce (11/2), Sam Allardyce (9/1), and Robbie Keane (25/1).”
