Who is the favourite to be the next England manager?
Graham Potter
Graham Potter is currently the frontrunner for the job at a best price of 6/4 at Ladbrokes.
After plenty of criticism for England's pragmatic and risk-adverse approach in the Euro 2024 tournament, the former Chelsea and Brighton man's exciting brand of football might be exactly what this star studded team needs.
Eddie Howe
Eddie Howe is the second most likely to be the next England manager at a best price of 5/1 at various bookmakers.
Having been linked to the England job since his days at Bournemouth, the 46-year-old's reputation has only grown since.
After joining Newcastle, he transformed a relegation-threatened team into Champions League qualifiers in his first full season in charge and it is rumoured that his name in on the FA's shortlist as a potential replacement for Gareth Southgate.
However, having signed a long-term contract with Newcastle in 2022, the issue of compensation raises question marks over whether Howe is a plausible option.
Lee Carsley
The third most likely candidate is England U-21 Manager, Lee Carsley at a best price of 11/2 at Paddy Power.
The 50-year-old is held in high regard after securing a Euro U-21 trophy for England last summer and was rumoured to have turned down an opportunity to manage Ireland earlier this year.
Thomas Tuchel
Thomas Tuchel has come in from 33/1 to a shortest 6/1 (best price 12/1 on Sky Bet) to replace Gareth Southgate in the last 24 hours.
Out of work since the end of last season, Tuchel left Bayern with a win percentage of 60% from his 67 matches in charge (37 wins). He had been heavily linked with the Man Utd manager's job before the INEOS board decided to retain Erik ten Hag.
Mauricio Pochettino
Pochettino was another heavily fancied in the next Man Utd manager odds before the INEOS U-turn. His exit from Chelsea sparked the start of a flurry of rumours, with Kieran McKenna and Roberto de Zerbi initially expected to battle for his job.
A Ligue 1 winner with PSG in 2022, Pochettino is a best price 8/1 to replace Southgate on BetVictor but a shortest 5/1 on BetMGM.
Jurgen Klopp
Jurgen Klopp is another market mover in the next England manager odds having taken close to 20% of the bets through oddschecker (18.3%) since England's final heartbreak in Berlin on Sunday night.
The former Liverpool manager shades Lee Carsley (18%) for popularity with the oddschecker community, while betting favourite Graham Potter follows closely in third with 17.5% of the bets.
However, Klopp is still rated likeliest to take the Germany job according to his next club odds (69% likely at odds of 4/9 on Paddy Power).
