Raheem Sterling Next Club Odds: Will he join Arsenal or stay with Chelsea?

The bookmakers are split on where Raheem Sterling will end up this season.

As Arsenal look into making a late attacking addition this window, Raheem Sterling is the latest to be linked with a move to the Gunners.

The England international is free to leave Chelsea having been deemed surplus to requirements by new Blues boss Enzo Maresca, with the west London side willing to sanction Sterling's departure ahead of tonight's deadline.

Sterling was used heavily in pre-season but the signing of Pedro Neto combined with links with Jadon Sancho means the former Manchester City winger needs to leave Stamford Bridge by the end of the day or face the prospect of no game time until January at the earliest.

The route from Chelsea to Arsenal is a well-trodden one of late, with Jorginho and Kai Havertz recently making the move across the capital.

In addition, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is familiar with Sterling, the pair having worked closely during their respective time together at Manchester City.

While he features predominantly from the left flank, Sterling is able to operate from the right or through the middle, and this versatility on the frontline is a quality not lost on Arteta. Indeed, the Spaniard is known to favour players who can play in a number of different roles.

Sterling would bring trophy-winning experience and add vital strength in depth in a key area for Arsenal. The Gunners have already bolstered the squad in defence and midfield with the respective signings of Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino, and the capture of Sterling would swell the ranks in the final third as Arsenal strive to knock City off their Premier League perch.

Several bookmakers across the oddschecker grid are offering a matched 5/4 price for Sterling to be at Chelsea or Arsenal after the summer transfer window (implied 44% chance).

However, there are bigger prices available for the 29-year-old to join Arsenal, including Ladbrokes as the 2/1 market leader at the time of writing. William Hill are as short as 10/11 for Sterling to swap Stamford Bridge for the Emirates.
