Next Hearts Manager Odds: Who is favourite to replace Naismith?

Hearts have sacked Steven Naismith following a run of eight consecutive defeats, leaving the team bottom of the Scottish Premiership.

Hearts have officially parted ways with head coach Steven Naismith after a dismal start to the season, marked by eight straight defeats and just one point from their opening six Scottish Premiership games.

It comes as the club finds itself bottom of the table and out of the League Cup, having been beaten by by Championship side Falkirk.

With Hearts set to kick off their UEFA Conference League campaign, attention quickly shifts to who will be the next manager to take the helm.

Odds for the next Hearts manager will be available on the oddschecker website as soon as they are available with UK bookmakers.

There are however already a number of names being linked with the job such as Alex Neil, Stephen Robinson, Derek McInnes and Arnar Gunnlaugsson.

Who is favourite to be the next Hearts Manager?

Alex Neil, who guided Hamilton Academical to Scottish Premiership promotion in 2014 and led Norwich City to the Premier League in 2015, is a strong contender.

Neil’s experience managing in both the Championship and Premier League could bring some much needed experience as Hearts look to steady the ship.

Stephen Robinson, who took St Mirren to fifth place in the Scottish Premiership last season – their highest finish in 44 years – is another leading candidate. He has proven his ability to overachieve with limited resources.

Derek McInnes, a well-known figure in Scottish football, managed Aberdeen to four consecutive top-three league finishes and won the 2014 Scottish League Cup and would be an addition with proven success.

Meanwhile, Arnar Gunnlaugsson is also being considered. He is currently managing Víkingur in Iceland where he has won multiple domestic titles and led his side into European competition, though his limited experience outside Iceland may pose a risk.
