
One manager has seen his odds to replace Pep Guardiola and become the next Man City manager slashed in the last 24 hours.
There has been a wave of activity in the next Man City manager odds market through oddschecker in the last 24 hours after news the club had agreed to bring in Sporting’s Hugo Viana to replace Txiki Begiristain.
Earlier this month, we learned that Begiristain - a close confidante of Guardiola - would leave Man City in 2025 after 13 years as the club’s sporting director.

Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim has emerged as the new frontrunner in the race to become the next Man City manager, with bookmakers significantly slashing his odds on Friday morning.
Amorim, who started the day priced at 10/1, has seen his odds cut to 6/1 on Sky Bet (shortest 4/1), making him the current favourite to replace Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.
According to oddschecker, a wave of bets have been placed in support of Amorim on Friday morning, further fuelling speculation about his potential move to Manchester.

After garnering just 25% of bets in the previous month, Amorim has since claimed 100% of the wagers placed so far today.
The Sporting boss has now overtaken Xabi Alonso, who had been the previous favourite. The Bayer Leverkusen manager is now second in the market, priced at 8/1.
Other notable contenders in the betting market include Michel, Roberto De Zerbi, Vincent Kompany, Zinedine Zidane and Julian Nagelsmann.
